Major Tae Kwon Do Academy was founded by Grand Master Seong Ji in 1996 and now has two locations outside of Atlanta, in the city of Lilburn and Loganville. Please click here to view Master Ji's introductory video. The academy offers a comprehensive list of programs for students of all ages and skill levels.
Major Tae Kwon Do continues to participated in many events that have an impact on the spread and development of Tae Kwon Do. In November of 2004 the school sent a demonstration team to South Korea to participate in the Hanmadang Team competition (2004 Korea Demonstration). In September of 2007 our school helped host the 2007 Goodwill Tour for the North Korean Demonstration Team. This first ever visit of North Korean Demo Team to the United Stated was well received by the Tae Kwon Do community. In May of 2008, Major Tae Kwon Do along with the American Tae Kwon Do United (ATU) hosted the Georgia State ATU Tae Kwon Do Championships. This tournament event was a great success in bringing together over 20 Tae Kwon Do Martial Arts schools with over 200 competitors in forms, board breaking and sparring. We appreciate the support from all the schools, volunteers, and communities and look forward to sponsoring this event again.
